I wish we could have sent you a valentine. Unfortunately, the U.S. recently put a stop to all mail coming from Uganda. But let me show you what we would have sent you (if we could have):
First, we would have sent you a crayon heart.
I found simple instructions here.
We also would have sent you a sparkly valentine love message, like this:
(Though it wouldn't have been able to come with such an adorable face attached!)
Last week, in honor of Valentine's Day, we began a ribbon of Kindness Hearts. Each time the children did something kind for one another, they chose a felt heart to add to the ribbon. Even Mama and Papa got to participate :).
We like to honor the kindness of our children at all times, but this was a fun way to celebrate the season.
And, finally, with the slight chance that you haven't actually smiled yet while reading this post, here's a final photo: our oxen, Valentine (proudly named by yours truly).
Hope you had fun celebrating love!

How did they stop all mail coming from Uganda?
Well, James, that's a great question. And one I don't know the answer to. The U.S. has stopped mail from coming in from several countries, and ours happens to be one of the "lucky ones." I believe this is in response to the attempted bombing via the mail system from Yemen, but don't quote me on that.
Again with the amazing images! You have made my heart smile.
