What's Growing

I'm in need of some fresh greens. I've got plenty of vegetables in my solar freezer, but they originated from Kampala. Scratch that--they were purchased in Kampala...I have no idea how far they travelled prior to their placement in Capital Supermarket. What I'm trying to say is that our garden has been on furlough for a little bit now, and I am craving my lettuce, my basil, my green, green, green, green, GREEN. So, in order to lift my spirits, I went out to find signs that could prove green is in my future. I found plenty. Here are just a few shots to prove it to you too!

(black beans)

(beets)

(ginger)

(basil)

(papaya)

Wait a minute! The basil is the only true green one of the bunch.
Black beans=black
Beets=red
ginger=...ginger
basil=green (yay)
papaya=pinky orange?
Apparently I didn't take too many pictures of the true green I'm craving, but I'm seeing life in my garden. And that's the point anyway.

Before I sign off, here's another photo to "grow on":

Shoes=yellow :-)
