First Wave

Cloudy, windy, chilly. The weather didn't stop Ava and Tai from digging their happy toes into the sand or throwing off everything that hindered them from letting the salt water lick every inch of their skin (you'll have to take our word for it--we're not posting THOSE pictures!). And, of course, the sun came out just in time to warm them up when it was needed most.
Instead of using plastic pales and shovels, our children made sand castles with a garden spade and dollar decorative buckets. Apparently everyone beat us to Target that morning to pick up their last-minute beach supplies! No worries, though. They preferred playing "tag" with the waves to building houses on sand. Smart children!
